Monica and her husband realized shortly after marrying in 2009 that to fulfill their dreams of having a family, adoption would be their path. After more than 3 years waiting for a domestic infant adoption, they decided to become foster parents. During their 5 years as foster parents they welcomed 7 children into their home. In late 2019, they finalized the adoption of a sibling set of three children that had been with them for several years. After making the difficult decision to close their foster home, Monica wanted to continue serving the most vulnerable children in our community. She joined the board of CFGALA, bringing a unique set of experiences and skills to the organization.
Monica graduated San Jose State University with a B.S. in Corporate Finance. After graduation she began a career in banking and has worked for Wells Fargo for 19 years.
